MASTER CLASS AND WORKSHOP ON LASERS IN DENTISTRY - 2ND AUGUST 2024

Day -1 of the Masterclass

"Lasers in Dentistry" conducted by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at CIDS saw Dr. Gaurav discussing the unravelled concepts enveloping the Physics and Principles of Lasers at molecular,cellular and the clinical levels.

Also highlighted was the applications of various Soft tissue lasers in different specialities of Dentistry with clinical backup of cases successfully treated with Lasers and their follow up results. The delegate section included the undergraduates, interns as well as post graduate students from various dental specialities of our institution.

The session today ended with intense discussions and Q & A session with the delegates.

Day -2 of the Masterclass

Demonstration and Hands-On course was conducted on Day-2 of the Laser Masterclass program. The keen interest amongst the budding clinicians in learning drove the enthusiasm flag flying high where the delegates enjoyed them exposure of understanding the nature and power of the light beam in the field of therapeutic dentistry and how the interaction of light with the components of the living tissues in a particular time span and at a certain wavelength enhances the treatment potential in an ailing patient. Dr. Gaurav patiently discussed the minute concepts and challenges faced by the clinicians on the dental chair and kept the session lively from dawn to dusk!

Lasers today have become an impregnable aspect of clinical dentistry which need a strong basic backup of concepts and a swift hand to execute it to perfection!
