COLLEGE DAY 2025 - 14TH JUNE 2025

The 23rd College Day function of the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences was held at the college auditorium on 14th June 2025 at 3.00 pm. Mr. P M Devaiah, LL.M, Managing Partner Starlaw Partners, Bangalore was the chief guest. The programme started with an expression of condolence on the death of Mrs. Rani Aiyappa, founding member, Coorg Dental and Medical Sciences Trust and Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences.

The function was presided by Prof. Dr Sunil Muddaiah, Dean, Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences. The Vice-principal Prof. Dr Jithesh read the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the institution including over 100 scientific publications and 30 prizes at various national and international conventions and sports meets. Mr. Samarth Cariappa M K, President of the Student Council, welcomed the gathering, and Ms. Nandana P, Secretary, gave the vote of thanks.

Mr. P M Devaiah in his speech lauded the effort of Dr. Sunil Muddaiah in bringing up the professional Dental Health Care Institution in the district and congratulated this premier Dental Institute for producing fine dentists, clinicians, and academicians, who have spread all over the world.

Mr. P. M. Devaiah congratulated the students on their achievements. He emphasized the role of the dental college and dentist in the society. He spoke about the concept of professionalism and how every student can excel in their career by following this concept.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports and cultural events for the year 2024 - 25 by the special guests and other dignitaries.

The formal function was followed by a cultural extravaganza performed by the students and faculty of the Institute.
