IMPLANT CDE HANDS-ON PROGRAM FOR INTERNS-20TH MAY 2025

A one-day CDE program on Simplifying Implant Dentistry for beginners was conducted for the Interns on 20/05/2025. Dr. Shahul Hameed was the spokesperson from the implantswiss company. The speaker elaborately explained how implant dentistry stands as the first choice of treatment for the rehabilitation of missing teeth in comparison to removable and other fixed dental prosthesis. An overview of history, examination, diagnosis, case selection and treatment planning for implants was discussed. The speaker also encouraged the students to share their fears associated with performing an implant case and also rendered helpful solutions to solve them. Post noon, a demonstration and hands-on was performed for better understanding of the implant placement procedure. Emphasis was given on the sequential osteotomy, understanding the different drills of the implant kit and mastering the implant placement procedure. It was an insightful day filled with learning and new experience for the interns.
