We offer B.D.S. and M.D.S. programs approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, Dental Council of India, New Delhi, Government of Karnataka, and affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. A mentor-based approach with problem-based learning ensures quality education. Our 65,000 sq. ft. hospital with 250 dental chairs treats 270 patients daily, offering a strong clinical exposure.

Program Details
The students are requested to refer to Revised Ordinance Governing Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Degree Course 2011 of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka for more details regarding course Syllabus and Regulations.
Duration of the course: 4 years (240 teaching days) + 1 year of internship
Examination schedule: June and December

After passing the final-year examinations, a one-year compulsory rotating internship must be completed for the award of the degree.-
Eligibility for BDS Examinations

Minimum 75% attendance in Theory and Practical/Clinical in each subject every year

For non-exam subjects (spanning multiple years): minimum 75% attendance in Theory and Practical/Clinical

Attendance calculated on teaching hours, not number of classes
-
No condonation of attendance shortage (for any reason).

10% weightage of total marks in each subject (theory & practical/clinical separately)

Average of 3 internal tests sent to the University

Assessment includes: written tests, records, seminars, group discussions, clinical case studies, practical/clinical proficiency, projects, and assignments

Minimum 35% marks in internal assessment required to qualify for final exams

Academic Program: ITI Structured Certificate Course in Implant Dentistry
Academic Program: Nobel Biocare Implant Fellowship
The Departments of Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Periodontics conduct an interdepartmental program on dental implants by ITI (International Team for Implantology) for postgraduate students under the guidance of Dr. Vinay V Kumar.
This program is conducted in 3 modules:
Module 1: Treatment Planning and case selection, basic surgical principles, pre-clinical implant prosthetics, straightforward implant placement.
Module 2: Prosthetically driven implant placement, advanced implant surgeries with augmentation and ITI foundation level certification.
Module 3: Advanced implant surgical procedures, peri implant maintenance, implant complications and how to avoid it and understanding its management, advanced clinical prosthetics followed by IIB ITI intermediate certification.
After the 3 modules students will be able to confidently treat with patient centric and evidence-based approach by understanding the fundamentals of implant dentistry, understand the treatment procedures and protocols, and apply the competences gained through interactive peer and case-based learning.
