INTERNATIONAL ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEONS DAY SAVING FACES – SAVING LIVES
13th FEBRUARY 2024

The 13th of February is International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the pioneer in this area, Dr. Sorabhjee Ginwalla. The Department of OMFS CIDS observes this day annually to highlight the uniqueness and awareness of this specialty.

This year's theme was "saving faces and saving lives,". Keeping with the institution's belief that "Learning begins at home." The department of OMFS organized competitions to gauge undergraduate students' comprehension levels and help them develop on it.

The competitions conducted were:

• Poster making – Theme “Lets talk Maxfac”
• Face painting – Theme “Changing faces changing lives”
• Reel making- Theme “OMFS through my eyes”

The day ended with cake cutting in the department with the CIDS faculty, post graduate trainees, and undergraduate trainees. All of the winners were felicitated there.
